Still Standing
“When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?”
“They’re still gonna have to go out and put a bullet in Donald Trump, and that’s a fact.”
“Where is John Wilkes Booth when you need him?”
“I have thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House.”
“I will go and take Trump out tonight.”
“So we’re not talking about the debate, it’s time to put Trump in a bullseye.”
My Farewell as Miss South Carolina for America
Last night I took my final walk across the stage as Miss South Carolina for America.
Speech at the Freedom Meet-Up
I had the honor of being listed among some amazing speakers at the Freedom Meet-Up in Chapin last night.
It was a fantastic turnout and I was happy to share a bit of my story as an encouragement during these troubling times.
Finding My Strawberries
What’s been my favorite part of preparing for the pageant? Finding my strawberries.
RISE USA
What an amazing way to kick off America Month by attending the RISE USA launch tour!
This weekend my parents and I joined hundreds at Liberty Hall in Franklin, Tennessee, as we listened to Johnny and Elizabeth Enlow’s message on being Reformers In Society Everday.
My Why
Winning a pageant isn’t anything I thought I’d ever do. What’s more, now that I’ve won, I don’t think I fully expected the responsibility, time, and busyness it would bring.
I don’t say that in a negative sense, but a lot more goes into it than meets the eye, in everything from frequently scheduled social media posts, to meetings with sponsors, to appearances, preparing for Nationals, etc.
Miss South Carolina for America
The Portofino Cup
What a whirlwind weekend! After not competing (or even dancing) for 3 years, and John being off the floor for 5, we accepted a last-minute invitation to compete with a showcase routine at the exclusive Portofino Cup in Portofino, Italy.
Miss Lexington
Through and unexpected and interesting turn of events, I will be competing as Miss Lexington for the title of Miss South Carolina for America Strong.
IF My People
This morning Mom and I were discussing the smug pride we’ve witnessed amongst some involved with the MAGA movement, and her following comment struck the nail bluntly on the head:
“Unfortunately you can be a full-blooded patriot and still be void of God.”
Capitol Punishment: One Year Later
A few nights ago I watched the documentary “Capitol Punishment,” which examines the events surrounding January 6th, and the days following. It’s available for digital download, and I highly recommend everyone watch it. You can view it here.
Coincidentally, that title is the same as my post from last year, which detailed my eyewitness testimony from that day. What I don’t find a coincidence, however, is how precisely similar so many testimonies are of the events that day, and the events leading up to it. Watching the interviews, it amazed me how so many of the participants claim they felt led by the Holy Spirit to attend, with many (like us) not even deciding to go until a day or two before. We were compelled.
Capitol Punishment: My Story
With attention-seeking politicians, celebrities, and other unimportant figureheads pushing to label the conservative right as a “terrorist organization,” I feel it’s now more important than ever for those of us who know the truth to stand and testify to it, not shrink back in fear of condemnation.
I Will Not Be Shaken
So David and his men continued down the road, and Shimei kept pace with them on a nearby hillside, cursing and throwing stones and dirt at David. (2 Samuel 16:13)
King David had trolls, too.
It’s Not Over: 2020 Election Edition
The Israelites fled Egypt only to arrive at the Red Sea.
Absalom was fraudulently hailed as the new King over David.
Lazarus died.
New Year, New Glory
Happy New Year!
Psalm 64: Their Own Tongues Will Ruin Them
Prophetic encouragement for the saints.
Lukewarm Christianity and How it Affects America
Reading the congratulatory statements from George W. Bush and Mitt Romney to Biden struck me as politically analogous to the state of lukewarm Christianity today.
Covid and the Christian Debate
Honestly, I’m tired of talking about masks. But I feel compelled to officially address an aspect of this subject that continues to be circulating.
Love and Judgment in the Christian Walk
“Love, don’t judge”
“Live and let live”
“Spread positivity”
“Good vibes only”
These are just a few of the common quotes spoken by those in the world, and by professing Christians whose heart may be in the right place, but who are deceived into the current worldview that our job is to quietly approve every behavior and lifestyle, and to avoid saying anything that would be deemed offensive or judgmental.
But is that what scripture says?
