Speech at the Freedom Meet-Up

I had the honor of being listed among some amazing speakers at the Freedom Meet-Up in Chapin last night.

It was a fantastic turnout and I was happy to share a bit of my story as an encouragement during these troubling times.

The following is the transcript of my speech:

“You all know why I’m here. I’m not an orator. And I would not try to convince you of the worthiness of our cause. I’m a soldier and we are at war.”

This line comes from one of my favorite films of all time, “The Patriot,” when Chris Cooper’s character, Colonel Harry Burwell, addresses the South Carolina Assembly in 1776.

I relate to that quote because I, too, am not an orator. However, just as Colonel Burwell knew, sometimes rallying others to fight for a cause is more important than our own personal comfort.

As some of you may know, my story and my family’s story of becoming active patriots in our community began when local leftists and Internet bullies from across the country and parts the world tried to cancel us over the span of three years.

Strike one was in 2019 when I made a comment online that encouraging boys to wear tutus and makeup was wrong.

Strike two was in 2020 during Covid, when we didn’t force our restaurant’s employees or guests to wear masks, but instead encouraged personal choice.

And last but not least was strike three - January 6th, 2021.

My entire family and I were in Washington DC that day, peacefully protesting the stolen election. And even though we neither saw nor participated in any misconduct or illegal activity, we came home to our personal and business media pages being ruthlessly harassed. I was blocked by Facebook, stalked and sent death threats, and my name was reported to the FBI, which ultimately led to their visiting our home for questioning.

But through it all, we never apologized, we never complied, and we never. backed. down. And do you know what happened to our restaurant? We were prepared and at perfect peace to lose it, but instead our business became so busy beyond overflow, that we had to DOUBLE our size.

I say this not to brag, but to encourage. Because while we are promised persecution here on this earth, we are also promised, “Fear not, for I am with you always.”

As Miss South Carolina for America, my experience over the last few years is what inspired my platform of First Amendment Primacy. Our voice is our RIGHT, and I encourage you, this election year especially, to exercise that right to the fullest.

Our America, our beautiful One Nation Under God, is on the brink of destruction. We have too much at stake to remain silent for the sake of peace, to passively ride the fence, or to sit comfortably on the sidelines.

We’re all soldiers. And we ARE at war. And while most of us may not be on the front lines of physical battle, let us not squander the blood sacrificed by those who were — from the colonial farmer’s with pitchforks, to the men and women in uniform today — by allowing the current administration in league with the Globalists, the mainstream media, and the UNIPARTY to tear us apart from the inside out, on our very own soil.

We fight with our VOICE, and we fight with our VOTE.

America belongs to US — WE THE PEOPLE.

Let’s take our country back.
